Online Workshop "New Technologies for Performance Art" | ARTLECTURE

This online worshop is devoted to new technologies available to performance artists. Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), 360 photo and video capture drastically alter the field of performance art and put central aspects of performative practice up for renegotiation. Participants will acquire hands-on experience with immersive tools that produce Extended Reality (XR) experiences. Among others, they will learn how to use and build Virtual Reality environments with web-based platforms such as Artsteps, Mozilla Hubs, or Spoke. Participants also have the opportunity to learn how to create Augmented Reality experiences and how to sell digital performance works as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs.) The workshop is geared towards participants seeking to become familiar or deepen their knowledge of XR technology through practical training in the use of a variety of immersive technologies available to the cultural sector. In addition, it provides participants with the opportunity to develop individual artistic, curatorial, or scholarly projects and proposals under expert guidance and in exchange with fellow participants.
