HIGHLIGHT

London Design Festival celebrates and promotes our city as the design capital of the world. The next edition will take place on 16–24 September 2023.

The launch of the first Festival took place at Bloomberg on 25 March 2003, with a show of support from design, education, government and London organisations. 20 years later, this vision remains ever strong.

In 2022, we celebrated our 20th anniversary, and this took the form of Sony Design’s immersive experience, INTO SIGHT (pictured above) at Cromwell Place; Netherlands-based designer Sabine Marcelis’ swivelling stone chairs at Centrepoint; a pavilion with purpose at Canary Wharf by Stanton Williams; an unexpected design tour with Sam Jacobs; our limited-edition book LDF 20 Years; 12 design districts; nine days of activities and over 300 partners.

Now, we’re gearing up for 2023, taking place 16-24 September 2023, and soon we’ll be dropping details of what the 21st edition has to hold. In the meantime, there is plenty of interviews and features for you to dive into, like our exclusive conversations with the 2022 Medal winners.
