(Media Art Net) Archival data related to media art are relatively well organized, even if it feels old. You can search for artists and works(including images) by year. It is basically German-based, but it also provides English-text information. The site was created relatively long time ago and It would have not a nice design-structure, but it would be one of the places where there is a lot of information data is stored for those who want to study media art. Photos, images, creation tools, and physical information are contained within the site. It might be uncomfortable on mobile-device yet, but I expect it will be updated soon.
