From the start of production to its completion, the motto of this project has been ‘happenstance.’ Camera angles that reflect reality: I tried to shoot everything from a ‘zoomed-out’ perspective.
Actions and bugs that occur randomly in the videos and images of each channel are recorded, transforming traces of data in real time. These real-time data statistics are fleeting, as is humanity’s randomly occurring existence. Radio (nature) frequencies and voices that flow out of live broadcasts speak for the past and present of videos and images.
I put an emphasis on the bug and crack phenomena that occur on every frame. They are not an intentional production, but rather process-related happenstance. The images that occur in every channel are unprocessed, trying to break free from the frame. This is beyond reproduction, and is manifested existentially through absorbing naturally and randomly occurring real-time data and frequency streams. Rather than conflict between the specific consciousness of my memory and present reality, it represents an easing of that very boundary.
