On public access on MOMENTUM Berlin’s IKONOTV channel (https://ikonotv.art/tvCollections/title/158), TAKING FLIGHT: Birds & Bicycles collects the experimental video works of 8 international artists relating to the idea of freedom and the notion of borders.

Challenging, morphing and perpetually crossing its premises, this ‘factory of metaphors’ features manipulated Super 8 footage, a surreal 3D modern day purgatory, a mid-air floating Lenin, an irony-filled rendition of quotes from failed leaders and much more. The video art on show prompts each viewer to reflect and add a further layer of meaning to the physical and metaphysical concepts they display.
