Antti Tolvi - Sound, light, silence
By its nature, silence is free. Free from popularity and egoism, free from being permanent anywhere. It is free from trying to be something more what it is. It is just freedom actually what there is. Freedom to not having to need to do things what this worship of capitalism and individualism wants. If it starts to get these features, then it is most probably something else.
Sound (blue)
During the exhibition in the gallery space there will be Sound (blue) multi-sensory sound and light installation.
Installation plays with body sensations (low frequency sofa), sounds and lights (water bowls over transdusers). Piece operates with simple elements, sine waves, whereby piece gently create harmonic movements all around us. Piece plays simultaneously with our inner and outer sensations, and slowly directs us toward more open, silent space.
Light
During the opening hours of gallery, Antti is doing Light, multi-sensory one-to-one performances (duration 10 min) which wonders around with same questions as Sound (blue). Piece works with body feelings, air movements, sounds, lights, tastes, thoughts and so on.
