Daniel Theiler’s multimedia exhibition NON STOP explores the interconnections between air travel, migration, and climate (activism). The show is also a humorous reflection on how art and resistance shape each other. Oil paintings depict iconic moments of climate protest such as activists defacing a private jet or gluing themselves to a plane. The installation "Self-portrait 1992-2023" features all of the artist's airplane tickets since 1992 and allows visitors to compensate for the artist's CO2 emissions. Its statistical analyses (e.g., distances, airport and airline frequencies) stand In contrast to other objects, sound, and video works, which together create a joyous yet threatening scenario. Vertical stabilizers circle a breathing life jacket like shark fins, sickness bags provide tips for saving the world, and visitors learn what Cem Özdemir, schnapps, and a thwarted political career have to do with each other. The video work "Jetbridge Jesus" addresses the migration history of the artist's family, while the work "Black Cross" addresses the issue of the long shadow of flying: Is it really always the same size, regardless of the plane’s altitude?
