Start your new art project close to nature at ARNA. We are situated in The Avian Kingdom that is one of the finest bird areas in Sweden and on the go to become a new UNESCO biosphere reserve. 

For the summer of 2018 a three week residency in August is open for artists in all disciplines to apply to. 

3 weeks residency in August - Last date for application is 11th of March 

Date of arrival: Saturday 4th - Sunday 5th of August
Date of departure: Friday 24th - Saturday the 25th of August

The fee for the three weeks residency is 8.000 SEK (around 800 € or 890 $). 
If you share a bedroom with your friend or partner the cost will be 5.000 SEK/person. The residency has three bedrooms so the residency is most often shared by three artists. 

The fee includes 3 weeks accommodation, transports from/to the train station in Lund, guided tour and end of stay cleaning.

ARNA's importance as an international venue for artists with interest in nature and ecology is growing and as a result we also need more space. The fees we take for residencies 2018 will be used for investments, supporting artists stay at ARNA.


The residency fee includes

• Pickup with car for you and your stuff at the trainstation in Lund at arrival.
• A welcome lunch or dinner together with the ARNA-people.
  
• A guided tour in The Avian Kingdom.
• Open studio event in the end of stay.
  
• At departure we drive to to the train station in Lund.

"I was fortunate enough to have my first ever artist residency take place at ARNA. With Cartography as the theme and with my background as an illustrator of children’s books, I knew I wanted to make a treasure map for the young people visiting the Avian Kingdom. I found so many details in the beauty of the countryside, as well as in it’s history, that the story for the treasure map almost wrote itself. Visiting Sweden for the first time ever was also an experience I won’t forget!"
