The Alys Foundation is thrilled to announce the call for entries for the 13th Annual Digital Graffiti Festival at Alys Beach, to be held May 15-16, 2020. Artists worldwide are invited to submit their original digital art pieces for consideration be showcased in the annual juried festival. This year’s awards will include Best of Show ($5,000 prize), Curator’s Choice ($2,000 prize) and three Special Recognition honors (at $1,000 prize each), selected by the Digital Graffiti’s curator Brett Phares and esteemed panel of judges.
Set against the elegant, iconic white walls of Alys Beach, Digital Graffiti provides a large-scale open canvas for artists to cast each of their unique art forms—merging the intersection of visual art and architecture together into one. Once darkness falls in the scenic Gulf town, the blank walls of Alys Beach’s homes radiate with artists original art projections. Artists, designers, photographers, and architects alike are invited to submit their artwork to be projected onto the pristine white walls of Alys Beach. Both evenings of the Digital Graffiti will feature the town cast in immersive, one-of-a-kind examples of projection mapping, generative art, experimental short films and animation, as well as sound, motion, and light responsive installations.
