내 사랑 내 친구, Dog Teapot<Dog is a symbol of friendliness. Inspired from friendly image of dog, dog teapot with wing was created. The wing is a handle, the mouse is a spout, and the tail is a lid. Some who are served tea or spirit by that teapot will be special and eternal.> 나에게는 아주 정다운 친구가 있다. 내가 잠에 깨어날 때에 먼저 아는 척하고, 내가 집을 나설 때는 그가 먼저 꼬리를 흔든다. 집에 들어 올 때 집 문을 열기도 전에 그는 나를 알아 차린다. 그리고 문을 열자마자 바로 내 품에 달려든다. 눈빛만 주어도 고개를 흔들고 한마디 말만 해도 금방 알아채고 달려온다. 그는 언제나 나를 반기며 내 품을 찾는다.내가 기분이 나쁠 때나 마음이 울적하여 그를 잘 안아주지 않아도 그는 아랑곳하지 않는다. 잘 토라지지 않고 잘 실망하지 않으며 잘 기분 나빠하지 않는다. 좀 ‘조용히 하라’ 하면 조용히 기다린다. ‘암전히 있어’라고 하면 소리 없이 혼자 조용히 논다. 내가 산보하고 싶으면 그는 나와 함께 산보하고 달리면 그도 따라 달린다. 내가 앉으면 그는 앉아서 기다리고, 서면 그는 서서 나를 기다린다.내가 혼자일 때는 그는 나와 같이 놀고, 내가 친구나 가족과 함께 있으면 그는 언제나 자기를 사랑해줄 차례를 기다린다. 그는 질투를 하지 않는다. 먼저 사랑을 구한다. 부끄러워하거나 자존심을 내세우지 않는다. 그는 내가 사랑만 해주면 더 이상 특별한 것을 요구하지 않는다. 설령 내가 그를 보고 싶지 아니해도 그는 울거나 보채지 않는다. 오늘 그를 목욕을 시키고 몸단장을 시켰다. 정말 아름다웠다. 그는 정말 행복해 했다. 갑자기 그는 눈방울을 반짝거리며 귀를 쫑긋하였다. 무엇인가 말을 하려는 듯하였다. 앞발을 올리며 뛰어 오를 것만 같았다. 날고 싶은가? 그래, 그는 뛰기만 하였지, 그의 몸에 날개를 달아주면 어떨까? 그래서 좋은 나무를 구해서 깍고 다듬고 광내어 그의 등에 날개를 달았다. 훨씬 보기가 좋았다. 몸이 훨씬 가벼워진 것 같았다. 마치 하늘에서 내려온 영혼 같았다. 당장 날 것 같아 보였다. 그래, 이제까지 내가 너로부터 받은 사랑에 대한 나의 선물이야. 이제 한번 날아 봐, 내 사랑, 내 친구.   <Dog is a symbol of friendliness. - The name of daum blog is "연바람 Yeon Dreams", which has Yeon' essay, drawing, picture, and images of my works.

- Yeon Jung majored in architecture program in university in Korea and had worked as a building designer & an architect for 20 years. He moved to Canada in 2006, and graduated in Jewellery/ Metal program of New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (NBCCD) in 2015, and he also graduated in the Graduate Program of NBCCD in 2018. He works usually in Sejong Korea and often Fredericton Canada.
