MCR Sew Social was established in 2018 and is organised by textile artists Rowan Bridgwood and Louisa Hammond. A monthly gathering of textile and fibre artists who meet in Greater Manchester, MCR Sew Social’s ambition is to create a community of makers, bringing people together to create socially to enhance a sense of well-being.

MCR Sew Social are passionate about showcasing textile work as the artform it is and International Women's Day is a perfect opportunity to celebrate the collective voices of our local womxn artists.

The online exhibition will launch on Tuesday 8th March, with an opening night Zoom event from 7pm. Tickets will be free and available via Eventbrite, the link to which will be shared on MCR Sew Social’s social media channels.

This event has been supported with a grant from Manchester City Council.
