Submissions for the 16th London Short Film Festival are open
The 16th London Short Film Festival returns 11th - 20th January 2019 bringing ten days of dynamic short film screenings and events to the capital's best cinemas and independent venues.
We’re proud to welcome UK and international submissions - we screen 500+ films every year which are carefully curated from over 2500 open submissions.
All submitted films are eligible for LSFF Competition programmes - you will be notified by email after submissions close if your film has been selected to play in Competition.
Entries are open to both UK and international filmmakers with two separate tiers of submission, broken down as follows:
Early Bird - Deadline: 20 April
UK Early Bird - $20
International Early Bird - $28
Regular - Deadline: 29 June
UK Regular - $25
International Regular - $38
Late - Deadline: 20 August
UK Late - $38
International Late - $38
Our Lo-budget category is open to submissions from UK and International filmmakers, for films under 5 minutes in length:
UK Lo-budget - Deadline: 20 August - $6.50
International Lo-budget - Deadline: 20 August - $15
All entries must be in English or contain English subtitles. Non-English entries without subtitles, or supplementary printed translations, will unfortunately be disqualified.
Films must have been completed after 1st January 2017, though LSFF does not require any premiere status.
Films should be no longer than 45 minutes. Only completed entries with paid submission fees will be processed and considered for screening.
Entry fees are not refundable.
