The Van Eyck invites artists, designers, photographers, architects, landscape architects, curators, writers, and thinkers to apply for a residency at the Jan van Eyck Academie for 6 up to 12 months.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Applying is done digitally: the online application form can be found here. In the online application form you can upload your actual application as one PDF file. This PDF file shouldn’t be larger than 10 MB.

An application consists of the following parts and should be preceded by a clear table of contents:
a) a project proposal stating goals and purpose of your stay (max. 500 words)
b) first ideas concerning an In-Lab (max. 500 words)
c) documentation of recent work (dating back no longer than 5 years, maximum 25 pages, 1 or 2 images per page)
d)  your resume (max. 2 pages)

For voluminous files (like videos), please insert a link to the server/website/You Tube/Vimeo where the file can be viewed.

NB:

Please make sure all the links to external sites work!  Double-check your links in the final PDF file before uploading it in the online application form. If links do not work, the selection committee cannot review your application properly. The links should also work at least up to two months after the deadline has passed.

The registration fee is €65. The registration procedure is included in the online application: on finalizing the form you will be redirected to Paypal where you can pay the €65.

If you do not have a Paypal account and someone else pays for you, please contact us immediately: application@janvaneyck.nl, and let us know the name of the person who paid your registration fee.
