Both photographers surpass the documenting element in their artistic work. Uncovering abandoned buildings and places preoccupies architectural fine art photographer Soden who travels widely and intrepidly as part of her mission. These are then revealed to us, colour-soaked and poignant, hauntingly embedded in our vision. Gentilli's unerring eye beautifully captures historic, biblical, even mythical locations, highlighting their undenying human aspect as well as their enduring beauty; in his travels along the way he also has the ability to elevatie the everyday with his wry observations.
