Jang begins by swiftly drawing scenes from everyday life, layering lines and colors to create new forms. The resulting paintings do not settle into fixed shapes; rather, they become fluid experiences. Lines unravel and reweave forms, allowing meaning to flow freely, unconstrained by defined frameworks.

His paintings are in constant motion. His attitude toward change and flexibility permeates the canvas. Shedding embellishment and formality, his works carry a quiet humor as they approach the viewer.
