The World Press Photo Contest annually honors the best photojournalists and documentary photographers. 3,851 photographers from 130 countries took part in this year's competition, submitting 61,062 photographs and contributions in the open format. Both regional juries and a global jury were involved in selecting the winning images. The award-winning works document some of the most pressing issues facing the world today - from devastating conflicts and political upheaval to the climate crisis and migration. The exhibition of the Friends of Willy-Brandt-Haus invites visitors to critically examine and reflect.
