Created recently at the design studio in Japan, " WIND " is a simple work that uses a suspended window frame and a sheer curtain. A sheer curtain is floated by integrating 8 small fans along the wood panels, which allow a gentle breeze to enter by the empty frame space. Each fan is characterized by its design to mimic the movement like a natural wind. 'WIND' has been developed as part of the exhibition ‘Art and Design, dialogue with materials’ at the Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art and Design. It was installed in a windless space in the museum, of this studio YOY says, “It was our challenge to change the perception of the space by creating a wind that shouldn’t be there.”

The windows play a role in drawing the wind into the closed space. Just a plain-looking wooden frame is to give off a soft breeze in place of this role. This is possible because each fan is designed to reproduce the organic stir of the wind.
