The Santo Foundation is pleased to announce our 2019 Distinguished Juror, Aurora Tang, Program Manager, The Center for Land Use Interpretation (CLUI); independent curator.
Aurora Tang is a Los Angeles-based curator and researcher, with a focus on contemporary place-based practices. Since 2009 she has been a program manager at the Center for Land Use Interpretation, a non-profit organization that produces exhibits, publications, online resources, and other programs that explore, describe, and interpret the built landscape of the United States.
Recent independent curatorial projects include exhibitions at the City of West Hollywood (Tanya Brodsky: Yolki Palki, 2019), Materials & Applications (Privacies Infrastructures, 2018, with new projects by Besler & Sons, Tanya Brodsky, Fiona Connor, and Gwyneth Shanks and Sarah Lewis-Cappellari), and the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (Preservation, 2017, with work by Adam Bateman, Laurie Brown, Moritz Fehr, Cayetano Ferrer, Ian James, Candice Lin, Brigid McCaffrey with Elizabeth Knafo, Ocean Earth, Marina Pinsky, Gala Porras-Kim, and Max Hooper Schneider).
