Mission
The challenges facing contemporary visual artists and the power of creativity are significant and their success and sustainability remains vital to our cultural heritage.
The Santo Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 2008 to recognize and assist the careers of individual artists and to champion the value of the visual artist in our world. Our mission is two-fold:
*To provide assistance directly to artists in the form of individual monetary awards, travel stipends, exhibitions and speaker honorariums. We increase the sustainability of artists further by providing subsidized workspace.
*To empower and provide youth and emerging artists with the vital opportunity and access to arts education and the tools necessary to achieve their own success.
What We Do
An organization created and operated by working artists, creatives and art educators, we serve our mission through:
*Individual Artist Awards,
*Santo Projects and
*Victor Projects
We work small and lean, with as little overhead as possible, so that we can sustain and grow our Individual Artist Awards year after year, while staying agile to provide support and innovative opportunities to both contemporary artists and the creative seeds in our youth.
