죽음 Death

내게 죽음은 어느 정도 사유가 가능해진 나이가 되어서야 한 사건으로 내게 다가왔다. 죽음은 모든 인간에게 있어서 탄생만큼이나 가장 큰 사건이며, 자신이 유한한 삶을 사는 동물이라는 사실을 잊지 못하게 하는 자연스러운 삶의 일부이다. 그러나 인간의 무의식은 누군가의 악의적인 개입 없는, 자연적인 원인이나 노화로 인한 자신의 죽음을 상상하거나 인식하지 못한다. 그래서 죽음에 대해 생각하고 싶지 않아하고, 듣고 싶지 않아한다. 머리로는 인지하지만 실감하지 못한다.

현대인은 다양한 미디어 속 이야기로서의 죽음만을 접하고 떠들어 댈 뿐, 현실의 죽음을 느끼고 생각할 기회가 없다. 죽음을 다른 사람이 아닌 자신에게 일어날 수 있는 하나의 현실로 받아들이지 못하고 사회 전체가 죽음에 대한 두려움과 부정에 시달릴 때, 타인의 죽음을 통해 자신의 불멸성을 확인하고자 하는 인간의 파괴적인 방어 기제가 나타난다. 죽음을 타인에게만 일어나는 사건 혹은 이야기로만 보지 않고, 자신의 죽음의 가능성을 생각해보기 시작한다면 개인 삶과 사회에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것이다.

죽음이란 죽음 이전까지의 응축된 나 개인의 삶과 마주하게 되는 것이기도 하다. 죽음을 회피하기만 해서는 언젠가 필연적으로 찾아올 그 순간, 자신의 삶과 죽음을 제대로 받아들이지 못하고 파도에 휩쓸려가듯 ‘나 자신’의 죽음에 수동적으로 끌려가게 될 것이다. 따라서 나는 능동적으로 자신의 삶을 받아들이고 죽음을 마주할 수 있는 방법을 찾았다. 

내가 내 몸을 온전히 느끼고, 나의 정신과 몸의 유대를 가까이 한다면, 몸를 가진 이상 죽음을 피할 수 없다는 사실을 더욱 실감할 수 있을 것이다. 현대인들은 자신이 자신의 몸을 완전히 느끼고 통제하며 생명을 앗아가거나 잃는 격렬한 사냥과 같은 운동을 통해 신체의 유한성을 느낄 일이 매우 적다. 가만히 앉아서 나의 정신과 생각만으로 일하는 시간이 길어진 만큼 정신과 몸의 유대가 멀어지고, 이로 인해 나의 육체에 찾아오는 커다란 사건인 죽음을 망각하게 되었다.

자기색정사 Autoerotic death

그렇다면 현대인의 삶을 살면서 가장 내 몸을 온전히 느끼는 순간이 언제인가? 운동도, 배설활동도 포함되겠지만 나는 가장 극적으로 내 몸과 하나 되는 순간은 성적인 순간이라고 생각한다.

자기색정사(홀로색밝힘사망)란 성적 자기 쾌감을 느끼던 도중 사고사하는 것을 말한다. 끈이나 비닐봉지, 테이프, 방독면 등의 도구를 통해 질식성애 혹은 BDSM적 취향의 수음행위 도중 사망하는 것이다. 자기색정사는 복상사와는 달리 파트너 없이 혼자 성적인 절정과 함께 맞이한 죽음이다. 생명 탄생을 위해 신체에 주어진 성적 쾌락의 순간에 죽음을 맞이하는 자기색정사를 통해 자신의 신체를 통해 온전히 죽음을 느끼고 받아들이는 순간을 표현하고자 했다.

또한 자기색정사의 사디즘적 측면은 수 백년 동안 오직 생산의 도구로서 억압당한 여성의 성을 생산이 아닌 오직 자신의 에로티시즘에만 집중하게 함으로서 여성에게 성적 존재로 존립하는 자유를 부여한다. 육체기관의 맹목적인 생식 본능을 거부하고 성적 활동 자체에 집중하여 자신만을 위한 계산된 쾌락으로 만듦으로서 여성은 비로소 한명의 인간으로서 자유로워진다.

- Death

Death to me has come to me as an incident that must have occurred to some degree of reason. Death is the greatest event of all human beings and is part of a natural life that keeps you from forgetting that you are a finite life. However, the human unconscious does not imagine or perceive one's own death due to natural causes or aging without someone's malicious intervention. So They do not want to think about death, and They do not want to hear. They know it with my head, but They can not feel it.

Modern people are only exposed to death as a story in various media, and there is no chance to feel and feel the death of reality. When human beings can not accept death as a reality that can happen to them other than themselves, and when society as a whole suffers from fears and injustices of death, the human destructive defense mechanism that seeks to confirm their immortality through the death of others appear. If you start to think about the possibility of your death without seeing death only as an event or story that only happens to others, it will have a positive impact on your personal life and society.

Death is also the encounter with the condensed personal life before death. Just avoiding death will passively be taken to the death of "myself" as one day inevitably comes to pass, without being properly receptive to his life and death. So I actively found a way to accept my life and face death.

If I fully feel my body and approach my spirit and body ties, I will realize that I can not avoid death with my body. Modern humans rarely feel the finitude of the body through exercises such as intense hunting, in which they fully feel, control, and kill or lose their bodies. As the time to sit down and work with my mind and mind was getting longer, the spirit and body became far apart and I became oblivious to death, the great event that came to my body.

- Autoerotic Death

If so, when is the moment when I feel the most of my body while living a modern life?

Exercise and excretion will be included, but I think the most dramatic moments when I am one of my body are sexual moments.

Autoerotic death means an accidental death while feeling sexual self-pleasure. They die during sucking acts of suffocation or BDSM-like taste through tools such as strings, plastic bags, tapes, and respirators. Autoerotic Death is a death that is accompanied by sexual climax alone without a partner. I wanted to express the moment when I felt the death through my body through the self-coloring orthodoxy, which was the death of the moment of sexual pleasure given to the body for the birth of life.

In addition, the sadistic aspect of the autoerotic death gives women the freedom to exist as a sexual being by concentrating only on their own eroticism, not on production, but the sex of a repressed woman as a tool of production for hundreds of years. By rejecting the blind reproductive instinct of the body organs and concentrating on the sexual activity itself, and making it a calculated pleasure only for the self, the woman becomes free as a human being.
