CHILD'S PLAY, a multidisciplinary group exhibition featuring works by artists whose work and process connects to play as a form of research and experimentation, and as a way to access deeper levels of meaning.
We all know the term, “child’s play” as referring to something that is easily accomplished, “a piece of cake”, suggesting a sense of confidence that whatever task lies ahead can be resolved without complication. And yet our experience seems to warn us - that what may appear to be simple holds hidden challenges. CHILD'S PLAY brings together artists whose work and process connects to play as a form of research and experimentation, and as a way to access deeper levels of meaning. The exhibition will include live music performances during opening night and offers several family friendly art workshops in print media, drawing, and paper sculpture during the weekends.
