Data is everywhere. In fact, the amount of digital data that exists today is growing at a rapid rate and is expected to grow to 180 zettabytes by 2025.

More recently, a lot of this data is now being used as an analysis to find insights.

Matt Daniels is also one of those looking for new insights.

He is a Journalist-Engineer and Business lead/CEO at The Pudding. He first experienced Internet fame in 2014 and has been chasing that feeling ever since.


His project, designed to collect and sort big data from all areas of the world, is as follows below:

The Pudding's Music Map shows the number 1 song all around the world. It's like a weird game of Risk, a world of brief new empires rising in the wake of Despacito's worldwide domination. The data comes from YouTube's API and is tracked by the city.
