Infinite Tunnels drew in by the reflections, colors, and textures

Sarah Meyohas is a visual artist working across media. She captures the fantastic effects of several symmetrical installations by decorating various items such as flowers, ropes, and smoke.

The formation of value for Meyohas might be likened to a reflection. She explains as follows how this process ties into the title of the series= ‘Speculations’: “It’s a stasis, made of a constant exchange”, she says, and “a series of speculation relations that never find a definitive end”. “A three-dimensional object appraises itself as two-dimensions, as a commodity to a price”

If you look at the work, infinite tunnels are created with facing mirrors set against pastel backdrops. She then embellished the mirrors with rose petals, piles of daisies, pink material, or smoke, the result of which is an oddly transfixing portrait of nature that duplicates itself in infinite reflections. That is, smoke, flowers, and fingertips border the reflective surfaces, creating dream-like environments that pull the viewer deep into the image’s frame.

In an interview with Metal Magazine, “A three-dimensional object appraises itself as two-dimensions, as a commodity to a price” she continues to say.

Therefore the formation of value for Meyohas might be likened to a reflection.
